I also put it on the heels of my feet. Sometimes I wait for the hot spot, most of the time I just put the duct tape on beforehand because I know myself well enough that it's going to rub no matter what. I leave it on for the entire time I'm camping. Duct tape works better than any crap you can buy out there like moleskin or second skin. Great minds think alike! <br /><br />but boy that's a LOT of it on your back.
